Hello North Pole Mrs. Claus…

Hello North Pole Mrs. Claus…

Today I was at my desk working on special Christmas ornaments when the North Pole Cell phone began ringing. At that moment I was unable to answer. It immediately rang again. I was still unable to answer. Then I received a text message, “Hi Mrs. Claus, this is ……)” The last name matched the phone calls I had not answered. A couple of minutes later it rang again with the same name. This time I answered I with “North Pole, Mrs. Claus…) On the other end was a child’s voice who told me her name.

The childlike voice asked me where Santa was. I told her he was busy working with the elves in the workshop preparing gifts for this Christmas. She asked me if he was okay. I told her he was. She asked me if I knew what she wanted for Christmas. I told her we did, and she was on the nice list. She asked me if she could send me a picture through text of what she wanted for Christmas. I told her that would be great. We disconnected.

I soon received a text with a picture of a beautiful gold locket necklace with a note below the picture stating, “This is what I want.” I wrote her back telling her it was beautiful, thanked her for sharing it with me and that I would pass it on to Santa. We then had a few more text exchanges and my phone rang again. The same number for this girl. Again, I answered, “North Pole, Mrs. Claus” and the little girl was there. We had a delightful short conversation about the other things she wanted for Christmas. She told me she likes to read books about Spanish grammar. I asked her what her favorite book is, and she told me The Blue Fairy. I asked her if she knew the story about Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The pitch in her voice changed with excitement as she said, “Yes! I know that story!” I soon explained to her I needed to get back to getting Santa’s suit ready for his Christmas Eve journey. She replied with, “Yes, that’s for Christmas Eve.” I agreed with her and told her Santa would see her soon. Again, she replied with “Yes, on Christmas Eve.” I told her to continue being good and the call ended.

For the next 3 hours I received more photos of items she would like for Christmas. After the last photo she sent was a text, “I will buy cookies and milk for Santa.” I wrote back with, “Thank you sweetie. Santa likes all kinds of cookies. I appreciate you taking care of him during his long journey Christmas Eve.” I soon received the message, “You are welcome Mrs. Claus.” Being Mrs. Claus brings so much joy!
